Cat Deeley has shared her pick for autumn dressing on This Morning, wearing a red tweed co-ord from ME + EM that she said signals the return of 70s style.
During Tuesday's show, Cat wore the brand's red tweed set, declaring: "The second September hits, the 70s are SO back." The outfit includes Wide Palazzo Pants, a fitted waistcoat and a matching Collared Jacket, all made from jacquard jersey with a textured, tweed-like finish.
A Versatile Set for Changing Weather
The co-ord is designed to be styled for any conditions. Wearing it on its own works for warmer days, while layering the waistcoat over a silk shirt adds warmth when temperatures drop. The pieces can also be mixed and matched, such as pairing the trousers with a chunky knit and platform boots, or the waistcoat with jeans or tailored shorts.
The pomegranate red and white tweed offers a subtle pop of colour for autumn and pairs with blue denim, chocolate brown, navy blue and khaki.
Pricing and Alternatives
The Wide Palazzo Pants are priced at £150, the Button Shell Top Waistcoat at £115, and the Collared Jacket at £175. Boden offers a similar co-ord in a deep burgundy tartan, with the V Neck Wool Blend Waistcoat at £119 and the matching Belgravia Wool Blend Trousers at £159, both in a maroon and olive green check. Made with 70% wool, they are warm enough for winter and can be layered over a white shirt for work or a silky blouse for a Christmas party.
