Naomi Campbell stuns at Burberry's star-studded London Fashion Week show

Naomi Campbell made a surprise appearance on the runway at Burberry's 2024 winter London Fashion Week show. The 53-year-old British supermodel, who has modelled for the luxury fashion house throughout her career, wore a charcoal grey strapless maxi dress adorned with beaded tassel fringing that sparkled as she walked. Her hair was styled in her signature look: bone straight, very long, and parted down the middle.

The event drew a host of famous faces from sport, fashion, and entertainment. Among those in attendance were British-Nigerian rapper Skepta, Vogue editor-in-chief Anna Wintour, supermodel Jourdan Dunn, and long-distance runner Mo Farah. Actors Jonathan Bailey, Gabrielle Union, and Olivia Colman were also present.

The show took place at London's Victoria Park in a large marquee featuring the signature Burberry check in an emerald green, gold, white, and brown colourway. Both menswear and womenswear were showcased. This was the third time creative director Daniel Lee, who is Bradford-born, chose an outdoor setting for the event, having previously used Kennington Park and Highbury Fields for his first two shows.

Lee's third collection at the helm of the iconic British heritage brand, which he took over from Riccardo Tisci in September 2022, focused mainly on outerwear and winter favourites. As the lights dimmed and music began – with Amy Winehouse's 'Back To Black' played twice – the first model emerged in a fresh take on the classic Burberry trench coat, complete with buttons on the right-hand side. Other pieces included shearling, military-inspired, and tailored coats, one featuring a large feathered collar and a squiggly zip.

Standout items included a parka with Burberry print lining, a bold fur gilet with a capital B emblem, and a boxy oversized khaki pinstriped suit. Variations of split-leg trousers, flowy maxi skirts with high slits, turtle-neck tops with elongated feathers on the shoulders, and a leopard print silk blouse also drew attention. Accessories such as silk scarves worn over models' heads, satchel bags, and duffle bags completed the looks.
