The spotlight shone brightly on British actress Anya Taylor-Joy as she led the star-studded arrivals at Dior's prestigious Haute Couture show during Paris Fashion Week on Monday. The 29-year-old actress commanded attention in a striking silk cape, taking her place in the front row alongside fellow Hollywood luminaries including Jennifer Lawrence, supermodel Karlie Kloss, and Taylor Russell, known for her past relationship with Harry Styles.

Fashion Statements on the Front Row

Anya Taylor-Joy presented a masterclass in layered elegance, combining her colourful patterned silk cape with a sophisticated cream wool coat. She completed her ensemble with stylish Dior heels, while her signature bleach blonde hair was tied back to showcase dramatic eye makeup. The actress posed confidently with a faux fur wrap before the show commenced, capturing the essence of haute couture glamour.

Jennifer Lawrence brought her signature effortless cool to the occasion, wearing a woollen winter coat layered over a simple white T-shirt and wide-legged jeans. The 35-year-old Oscar winner demonstrated her understanding of relaxed sophistication that has become her fashion trademark.

Supermodel Karlie Kloss, 33, opted for timeless chic in a stylish black dress featuring a low-cut back, her dark hair swept up in an elegant style that complemented the dramatic silhouette of her outfit.

Jennifer Lawrence's Style Philosophy

The Dior show followed Jennifer Lawrence's recent appearance on Amy Poehler's Good Hang podcast, where she discussed her personal approach to fashion. When asked about her relationship with clothing, Lawrence revealed her methodical approach to wardrobe management.

'I do a lot of closet clean-outs,' Lawrence shared. 'I think living in New York helps with that. I don't have a lot of excess stuff that confuses me; I have things that I really like.'

The actress, who shares two sons with husband Cooke Maroney, explained that she aims for her style to appear effortless, even planning her school drop-off outfits loosely. She offered specific fashion advice that has guided her choices.

'Big goes with big,' Lawrence emphasized, 'and if you're going to have a baggy and a tight combination, you cannot ever have tiny on the bottom with baggy on the top... or you'll look like a lamp.'

She clarified this fashion rule further: 'You can have baggy on the bottom and tight on the top, but you cannot do the other way around.'

Personal Insights and Professional Challenges

Known for her self-deprecating humour, Lawrence joked about never having been subject to Ozempic rumours regarding her weight, noting her surprise that more people hadn't commented on her appearance in 'Die My Love' while she was pregnant.

The actress revealed how her personal experiences with postpartum anxiety after her second child's birth informed her performance in the 2025 comedy-drama film. Playing Grace, a single mother struggling with motherhood, Lawrence drew from her own life experiences.

'I didn't really end up having really bad postpartum anxiety until my second baby,' she told People magazine. 'I think that just added another layer. I mean, I don't think that you have to have kids to play a parent by any means, but having that information about what a tiny person needs, and is looking for... just having that information was helpful.'

Lawrence also shared an amusing anecdote about filming challenges on The Graham Norton Show, revealing that director Lynne Ramsay asked her and co-star Robert Pattinson to perform interpretive dance lessons together before requesting they recreate their routine naked on the first day of filming.

'We both embarrass quite easily, and we didn't really know each other, so it was totally humiliating,' Lawrence recalled of the experience with her 39-year-old co-star.
