Chanel's New York Return: A-List Style at the Métiers d'Art Show
A-List Stars Shine at Chanel's New York Fashion Show

The crème de la crème of Hollywood descended upon New York City on Tuesday as Chanel staged its prestigious Métiers d’art show for the first time in the city since 2018. The event saw a constellation of A-list stars showcasing their most daring and elegant interpretations of the iconic French house's aesthetic.

Leading Ladies Set the Tone

Kristen Stewart, 35, perfectly encapsulated her signature blend of chic and edge. She led the style pack in a cropped black waistcoat, left open to reveal a soft peach V-neck sweater beneath. The actress amplified the look with layered chunky silver chains and a pair of distinctive, spats-inspired boots.

Model Emily Ratajkowski, 34, chose the same unique footwear but paired it with a sharply tailored buttoned jacket. She left it partially unfastened to highlight her svelte waistline, accessorising with a bold gold choker that matched her jacket's buttons. A striking red snakeskin clutch provided a vivid pop of colour against the monochrome ensemble.

Nicole Scherzinger, 47, delivered a dazzling display in a form-fitting, glittering knitted dress featuring a delicate handkerchief hem. The singer elevated the glamorous outfit with glossy patent leather heels, statement earrings, and a classic red lip.

A Star-Studded Front Row

The runway show attracted a veritable who's who of entertainment royalty. Tilda Swinton, 65, stood out in an artistic feathered turtleneck combined with a woven pencil skirt trimmed with leather. She was joined by new Chanel house ambassador A$AP Rocky, who made a vibrant statement in a turquoise jacket, button-up shirt, and yellow plaid tie. The rapper told Vogue he loved the outfit so much he'd wear it "everywhere," even to dinner with his children and partner Rihanna.

Fellow ambassador Ayo Edebiri of The Bear fame exuded elegance in a black coat dress adorned with silver buttons spelling 'CHANEL', complete with a quilted bag and a rakishly angled bowler hat. She humorously suggested the look spoke to "glamorous grieving."

Diverse Style Statements

Other notable attendees made powerful fashion declarations. Riley Keough flashed leg in a slit midi-skirt with a ruby-studded hem, while Jessie Buckley commanded attention in a bold zebra-print trench coat. Teyana Taylor revealed she was channelling Miranda Priestly from The Devil Wears Prada in a fuzzy striped jacket and skirt.

Julia Louis-Dreyfus showcased a tiny waist in a tailored black suit adorned with fluffy white flowers, and Christine Baranski oozed retro glamour in a monochrome co-ord, citing Diana Vreeland as her inspiration. In contrast, Jon Bon Jovi kept it understated in an all-black ensemble with futuristic trainers.

The style spectacle concluded with unforgettable looks from supermodel Linda Evangelista in a sparkling feathered-hem coat and legendary designer Dapper Dan, who drew every eye in a head-to-toe sequinned black leather three-piece suit.

The event marked a triumphant and highly fashionable return for Chanel's celebrated artisanal showcase to the New York stage, proving the enduring allure of high craftsmanship and celebrity style.
