Channel 4 viewers have been left on the edge of their seats as a thriller series returned for its second season. Simon Pegg has reprised the role of Danny Patrick for series two of The Undeclared War, which aired on Tuesday (July 21) evening. Season two is set in 2024, immediately after the events of season one.
Plot and Cast
The synopsis reads: "The team in the Malware Department at GCHQ come to terms with a massive Russian cyber-attack. But just as the British finally gain the upper hand, Danny and his team realise that Russia were not the real architects of the attack. They have a new adversary who is set to attack. And not only that, but the team realises that they have a mole in GCHQ."
Siân Brooke has joined the cast as Barbara Patrick, Danny's wife, who is also ex-MI5 and now an analyst at GCHQ. "Their relationship forms the emotional backbone of the story as each contend with huge personal and professional conflicts which take them on a collision course," the synopsis adds.

I thought it was kind of junk but after the first episode got the rhythm of this and well plotted series. UK media's are the best !
