Strictly Come Dancing professional Karen Hauer has paid tribute to her dance partner Harry Aikines-Aryeetey following their elimination from the BBC show. The Gladiators star was voted off after a dance-off against La Voix and Aljaž Škorjanec, with the judges opting to save the latter.
Speaking after the result, Harry thanked Karen for her support, saying: 'You've understood my crazy brain. I'm such a logical person, trying to dance... I just want to thank you so much for the time and effort, the hard work that you've given to me.' He described his time on the show as 'a dream come true' and 'a celebration'.
Karen later took to Instagram with a series of photos, writing: 'I couldn't be prouder. Your little girl will be so proud of her daddy. Seven weeks of hard work, laughter and non-stop fun…what a journey it's been! Sharing this experience with you will always stay with me and I know I've got a friend for life.'
Fellow Strictly star Ruth Langsford commented: 'Sad to see you both go but have LOVED watching you!' Harry replied to Karen's post simply: 'Karen!! All I can say is thank you!!'
