Four former Strictly Come Dancing finalists will reunite at the iconic Blackpool Tower Ballroom this weekend for a special performance. Ashley Roberts, Danny Mac, Jay McGuiness and Layton Williams are set to dance with professional partners in what the BBC has promised will be a 'dazzling' routine.
The reunion comes during Sunday's show (23 November), which will not feature an elimination after Drag Race star La Voix was forced to withdraw due to injury. Instead, viewers will see the returning finalists perform alongside a live set from singer Lewis Capaldi.
Ashley Roberts, who finished as a runner-up in 2018 with Pasha Kovalev, said she was excited to see if her 'jive legs can still do their thing', adding that 'sequins always help'. Layton Williams, a finalist in 2023 with Nikita Kuzmin, described the invitation as 'a true honour' and said he was 'buzzing' to return to 'the most iconic dance floor'.
The special performance also includes 2015 winner Jay McGuiness, who lifted the glitterball with Aliona Vilani, and 2016 finalist Danny Mac, who danced with Oti Mabuse. The show airs at 7:15pm on BBC One and iPlayer.
