Former Strictly Come Dancing finalist Layton Williams has issued a warning to this year's contestants as he prepares to return for the show's Blackpool special. The West End star, who impressed judges in 2023 with partner Nikita Kuzmin, will perform in a group routine with other former finalists at the iconic Blackpool Tower Ballroom this weekend.
Speaking ahead of his return, Williams praised the current cast but advised them to plan a post-show holiday. 'They're all killing it to be honest, so all I'd say is just enjoy the ride and book yourself a holiday in January - because you'll have earned it!' he said.
The star expressed his excitement about returning to Blackpool, saying: 'Oh my gosh I'm so gassed to be back. I never thought I'd dance at the Blackpool Tower Ballroom ever again, so to be invited back is an honour.'
This weekend's show will see remaining celebrities including Amber Davies, Lewis Cope, Balvinder Sopal, Karen Carney, Alex Kingston and George Clarke compete for a place in the final. However, Ru Paul's Drag Race star La Voix will miss the show due to an injury, receiving a bye to the following week.
Strictly Come Dancing continues tonight on BBC One and BBC iPlayer at 6:35pm.
