TalkTV host disgusted by 'depraved' video mocking Widdecombe

TalkTV host Kevin O'Sullivan expressed disgust over a social media video that appeared to mock the brutal murder of Ann Widdecombe. He discussed the clip with Reform UK's Richard Tice on his show.

Video posted by influencer Danny Karne

Influencer Danny Karne, also known as Danny Lambo, posted the video from a hotel in Kent. It showed a conceptual artwork of an elderly woman lying 'dead' on the floor, bearing a strong resemblance to the late politician. The woman wore a pink fluffy coat and had white hair, with food scattered around her — mirroring the scene after Widdecombe was found dead in her kitchen.

Karne's caption read: “Who killed Ann Widdecombe (RIP)?” and he quizzed his friends on who might be the prime suspect. The video was filmed at the Eastwell Manor Champneys hotel and spa, which was hosting an arts festival featuring the conceptual piece.

Reactions from O'Sullivan and Tice

O'Sullivan fumed on his show: “They’re mocking and having fun at the expense of Ann Widdecombe’s brutal murder. Your thoughts?” Tice responded: “It’s just sad to think there are some very, very sick people out there in this country. Who on earth would do that? I have seen the full footage, and the photos of somebody lying on the floor pretending to be an elderly lady who died, or indeed Ann Widdecombe. It’s just one of the most depraved things I’ve ever seen and I just cannot even begin to fathom how this is a fun night out.”

O'Sullivan swiftly moved on, saying: “It is just extraordinary. Let’s just leave that there – I think any decent person will be absolutely disgusted by that.”

Nigel Farage also slams clip

Nigel Farage also condemned the video, telling the Daily Mail: “The terrible murder of Ann Widdecombe is no joke. These people are sick.” Tice added: “This looks to be a bunch of sick people laughing and joking about the brutal killing of a woman loved by millions. What has happened to our country? This is not art, it is just disgusting.”
