Emmerdale fans are convinced Ruby Miligan will expose Sadie King's lies about her relationship with Jimmy and ruin her plan to find his hidden cash.
Sadie (Patsy Kensit) returned to the ITV soap last month after her ex-husband Jimmy (Nick Miles) died when his vehicle crashed into a wedding marquee. She claimed she had come back to honour his memory, but Nicola King (Nicola Wheeler) suspected she had another motive. Sadie also said she had been in a secret relationship with Jimmy and had photographs to prove it.
Soon, Sadie's real goal became clear: she was trying to take Jimmy's money. Her former lover Robert Sugden (Ryan Hawley) is helping her, and he would receive half of the proceeds if they find where Jimmy hid it.
Sadie's slip-up at Ruby's home
During Monday's (September 28) episode, Sadie went to the depot, convinced Caleb Miligan (William Ash) must have retrieved the funds after buying Jimmy's stake in the haulage business. She tried to befriend Ruby Miligan (Beth Cordingly) before Caleb caught her going through his office.
Ruby then invited Sadie to her home for some expensive wine, and the two women appeared to connect instantly. Ruby questioned an intoxicated Sadie about her affair with Jimmy, which led Sadie to mention a romance with a man named Federico, who took her to New York for Christmas. As she drifted off to sleep, Sadie revealed her fling with Federico had only started last year.
Viewers spot the inconsistency
Emmerdale fans believe Ruby, who is sharp at spotting dishonesty, has noticed the flaw in Sadie's story about Jimmy and will sabotage her money scheme.
Writing on Facebook, one viewer said: "Come on, Ruby, hope you manage to find out Sadie is a liar! Ruby clicked on straight away when Sadie said she was with Frederico at Christmas, hopefully she'll sort that horrible, lying woman out ASAP."
Another remarked: "I think Ruby has her sussed and he's playing the long game", while a third added: "Hopefully!"
"Oh come on! Ruby isn't stupid; she is going to take Sadie down! You just wait", declared another viewer.
