Netflix viewers can now vote on which underrated series they would love to see make a comeback, following the streaming giant's rare decision to reverse a cancellation.
Beauty in Black Renewed for Season 4
Netflix recently announced that Tyler Perry's Beauty in Black would return for a fourth season, despite earlier reports that the upcoming third outing would be its last. Perry told Netflix's Tudum there was "so much more I wanted to explore" and said the "story was far from finished", confirming more episodes were on the way.

The news has prompted Netflix viewers to share their thoughts on other streaming shows they would love to see get a second chance. The Mirror's poll features several series that were cancelled after just one season, despite positive reviews from fans.
Among the options is The Abandons, the 2025 Western drama starring Lena Headey and Gillian Anderson, which followed two rival clans. Despite the star-studded cast, it was axed a month after its release.
The Boroughs, executive produced by The Duffer Brothers, aired in May 2026 and was cancelled the following month. The series holds a Rotten Tomatoes score of 97%, with critics praising its "wonderfully plotted sci-fi trappings, star-studded cast, heartfelt narrative, and genuine ingenuity".
Kaos, a comedy drama based on Greek mythology, featured Jeff Goldblum and Janet McTeer. It was cancelled in October 2024 after its first season, with creator Charlie Covell saying they were "gutted" in a social media post.
1899, a mystery drama that aired in 2022, received critical acclaim but was cancelled after one season, sparking petitions for its return. Fans on Reddit said they "genuinely couldn't believe" the show had been axed.
Lockwood & Co, a supernatural detective thriller based on Jonathan Stroud's book series, aired in January 2023 and was cancelled four months later, leaving fans disappointed at the major cliffhanger. One Reddit user commented: "This is the reason I'm no longer watching any new show's first season on Netflix. I just don't want to get invested since they pull the rug out more often than not."
