Peter Kay has announced more tour dates as part of his lengthy comedy tour, visiting new cities in what he has dubbed a coastal comedy tour. The comedian made the announcement live on BBC Radio 2's Breakfast Show with Sara Cox.
New coastal tour cities
Kay will perform in Hull, Cardiff, Brighton and Blackpool as part of the extension to his long-running stand-up tour. The shows will take place at Hull Connexion Live, Brighton's International Centre, Cardiff's Utilita Arena and Blackpool Opera House. The Blackpool gig marks a return to the city where he played a famous show at the top of Blackpool Tower over two decades ago.
Charity focus and two shows a day
The new leg supports three charities Kay feels are 'overlooked and underfunded': The Lily Foundation, Maggie's and the Be More Laura Foundation. He will perform two shows a day, both matinees and evenings, to raise more money. Speaking about his decision to continue touring, he said: 'It's win win, you can come to the show and help them.' Tickets go on sale this Friday at 10am.
Previous diet story
During a previous appearance on Radio 2, Kay discussed his fitness and weight loss, recalling a diet slip-up while watching 'The Green Mile' with his wife Susan in 2000. He described sneaking out for a hotdog, taking a bite, trying to throw it away but then grabbing it back for another bite. Susan caught him by the smell on his breath.

His current tour has visited cities such as Newcastle, Nottingham, Glasgow, Dublin, Birmingham, Belfast, Liverpool, Sheffield, Leeds, Manchester and London, with profits shared across 12 cancer charities.
