Comedian Amelia Dimoldenberg, best known for her YouTube series Chicken Shop Date, is reportedly in discussions to front a standalone series for Apple TV. The 31-year-old has gained widespread recognition over the past decade with her unique approach to celebrity interviews, conducted in chicken restaurants across London.
Her web series has attracted 3.17 million subscribers on YouTube, with fans often calling it "the best show on YouTube." According to a source quoted by The Sun, Apple is aware that her show would arrive with a ready-made audience. The project is expected to premiere later this year or in early 2026, though the exact format has not yet been confirmed.
The insider suggested that any new show would likely follow a similar style to her previous work, featuring casual and natural meetings with some of the world's most famous figures. They added that it was only a matter of time before a streaming platform harnessed her significant social media influence.
Dimoldenberg has interviewed a host of A-listers, including Idris Elba, Ben Stiller, Sabrina Carpenter and Andrew Garfield. Her conversation with Garfield generated considerable buzz, earning 11 million views and prompting speculation about a romantic link between the pair.
Beyond YouTube, she has become a regular presence on red carpets at events such as the Golden Globe Awards and the Oscars. Her television credits include Channel 4's Taskmaster's New Year's Treat, Celebrity Come Dine With Me and The Great Stand Up to Cancer Bake Off. She also went viral on TikTok after interviewing Chelsea footballer Cole Palmer.
