BBC One drama Two Weeks In August, currently airing on Saturday nights, has left its cast 'terrified' during filming of a tense boat scene. The series, written by Catherine Shepherd, follows a group of friends whose summer holiday unravels after an illicit kiss and being trapped on an island.
In episode two, the friends go on a boat trip where tensions escalate. Actors Jessica Raine and Damien Molony, who play married couple Zoe and Dan, revealed the challenges of filming on choppy waters. Damien joked about seasick tablets being passed around, while Jessica admitted she was 'absolutely terrified' due to her seasickness and a monologue she had to deliver.
Damien described the water level bobbing up and down by six or seven feet, making the experience intense. Antonia Thomas, who plays Jess, spoke about her nerve-wracking dive off the boat. She recalled the cold water and having only one take, with the drone ready to capture the scene. Despite the pressure, she managed to complete it successfully.
Two Weeks In August airs Saturday nights on BBC One and is available on BBC iPlayer.
