Pedro Pascal shocked fans at the Oscars on Sunday night when he appeared on the red carpet without his trademark facial hair. The actor, known for his mustache and stubble, opted for a completely clean-shaven look while wearing a white Chanel suit.
Social media reactions ranged from confusion to disdain. One user wrote on X: “Pedro Pascal without any facial hair should come with a warning because my first thought was why is his face naked.” Others mourned the loss of his mustache, with one fan pleading: “I need Pedro Pascal to grow his facial hair back plz.”
Some fans joked that Pascal appeared to have swapped facial hair with Leonardo DiCaprio, who sported a mustache at the event. One post read: “It looks like Leonardo DiCaprio and Pedro Pascal have swapped facial hair.”
Pascal had previously told LADbible in July 2025 that he would not shave unless absolutely necessary. He said he looked “very awful” without facial hair and was appalled by his appearance in the 2020 film Wonder Woman 1984, for which he shaved. He added that he would only do so again for a role if it were “completely necessary.”
It is not yet known whether Pascal’s new look is for an upcoming film role.
