Netflix subscribers are being reminded that a wave of popular films and TV series will leave the platform this week, including the Oscar-winning film Oppenheimer. The Christopher Nolan-directed biopic, starring Cillian Murphy, is scheduled for removal on January 12, according to What's On Netflix.
Other notable departures include the entire Star Trek franchise, with five series—Star Trek, Deep Space Nine, Enterprise, The Next Generation, and Voyager—all set to vanish on Friday. The action film Skyscraper starring Dwayne Johnson will also be removed that day.
Earlier in the week, titles such as Beyoncé Bowl and Executive Decision were taken down. On Wednesday, films including Knight and Day and Once Upon a Time in Hollywood are due to leave UK Netflix. The romantic war film The Lucky One and family favourite Paddington in Peru are also scheduled for removal.
By the end of the week, viewers will lose access to My Big Fat Greek Wedding (2023), Romeo Must Die, and Flushed Away. Comedy classics The Naked Gun and its sequel will also depart on Sunday. Netflix regularly updates its library, adding new content while removing older titles.
