Scott Adkins returns as Navy Seal Jake Harris in 'One More Shot', a sequel to 2021's 'One Shot'. The film follows Harris as he escorts a terrorist through an airport, facing a private army of mercenaries. Shot to appear as a single continuous take, the movie aims for real-time intensity but often feels like a video game.
The plot involves a CIA operation to extract the location of a dirty bomb from terrorist Amin Mansur, played by Waleed Elgadi. His pregnant wife is brought in as leverage, but mercenaries storm the airport before the CIA can secure him. Harris must single-handedly take on dozens of enemies, requiring significant suspension of disbelief.
While Adkins delivers physical action, the film is criticised for being violent, boring, and soulless. The low-IQ script and wooden dialogue undermine the action, with the gimmick of a single take failing to sustain tension beyond the 45-minute mark.
