Oasis Live 25 Documentary: Cinema and Disney+ Release

A documentary chronicling the return of Oasis during their 2025 reunion tour is set to premiere in cinemas this September. Directed by Steven Knight, the creator of Peaky Blinders, the currently untitled film will also be available on the Disney+ streaming platform after its theatrical run.

The Oasis Live 25 Tour

The Oasis Live 25 tour marked a historic moment as Noel and Liam Gallagher set aside their long-standing feud for their first performances together in nearly two decades. The band kicked off with two nights in Cardiff in July 2025, followed by shows in Manchester, London, and Dublin, before embarking on a world tour that included dates in North and South America.

Noel Gallagher, now 57, famously quit the Manchester rock group on August 28, 2009, stating he could no longer work with Liam. The brothers traded negative remarks for over a decade until the tour announcement in August 2024. The pair posed for photos confirming the reunion, declaring, "The great wait is over."

The Documentary

The feature documentary is described as an unapologetically uplifting account of what is arguably the biggest musical event of 2025. It will be released in select IMAX and cinemas worldwide for a limited theatrical engagement beginning September 11, 2026. The film aims to capture the experience and emotions of the band and their fans across the globe.

Director Steven Knight expressed his excitement: "I genuinely cannot wait for the world to see this film. I believe it captures the spirit and emotion of a global cultural moment and does justice to the wit and genius of two exceptional people. I wanted to tell the story of the brothers and the band, but just as important, the story of the fans whose lives the music has touched and sometimes changed forever." He added that the film explores how music and songwriting can unite generations, cultures, and countries, offering hope in times of division.

Alongside the band's sold-out world tour, the documentary delves into the profound emotional impact of this cultural phenomenon and what Oasis's music means to audiences worldwide.

Band Line-Up and Streaming

The reunion band featured original member Paul "Bonehead" Arthurs, guitarist Gem Archer, bassist Andy Bell, and new drummer Joey Waronker. Disney+ will stream the film later in 2026 after its cinematic release.

Eric Schrier, President of Direct-to-Consumer International Originals, Strategic Programming, and Emerging Media, commented: "Opportunities like this are incredibly rare. The film is an intimate story of reconciliation, the power of music, and Oasis, one of the most successful and influential acts of all time. It's a privilege to bring this extraordinary film to the big screen and to Disney+ subscribers around the world."

Future Tour Dates?

UK fans remain hopeful for additional Oasis tour dates this year or in 2027, though nothing is confirmed. Rumours persist that the band may return to Knebworth, 30 years after their iconic performances there.
