The Love Island villa has undergone a massive transformation just days before the ITV2 dating show returns to screens. Season 13, hosted by Maya Jama, 31, is set to premiere on Monday, June 1, leaving little time to prepare the stunning Mallorca property for the new singletons.
Fans can expect the usual scenes of islanders chatting in the garden, sunbathing by the pool, and holding morning debriefs on the balcony. However, recent photos reveal that much work remains, with the firepit area looking completely different from its usual oak wooden seating and white cushions. Currently, blue carpeting leads to blue seating, and builders are busy completing renovations.
Aerial images show crew members working by the pool, with wood, tools, and a ladder nearby. New artificial grass has been laid, fresh paint applied, and final touches are being made to the outdoor kitchen, swimming pool, sun deck, and seating areas, all returning for this year's series.
Last year's Love Island ran from June 9 to August 4, 2025, with winners Cach Mercer and Toni Laites splitting earlier this year. Maya Jama took over as host in January 2023 from Laura Whitmore. The most recent series was the spin-off Love Island All Stars, which aired from January 15 to February 2026 in South Africa, won by Ciaran Davies and Samie Elishi, who also split shortly after returning to the UK.
Runners-up Millie Court and Love Island USA star Zac Woodworth have also ended their five-month romance. Millie shared on social media: 'Zac and I both love our lives and our homes, and that makes it harder to know what a future could be, so we've agreed that we'd prefer to remain friends.' Zac echoed this sentiment, stating they will 'always remain good friends.'
The All Stars format began in 2024, won by Molly Smith and Tom Clare, followed by a 2025 series won by Casey O'Gorman and Gabby Allen. Love Island 2026 returns to ITV2 on June 1.
