Lee Andrews, the husband of former glamour model Katie Price, has blamed prison food for his receding hairline in a new social media post. The 43-year-old, who was recently released from Al-Awir prison in Dubai over unpaid debts, took to Instagram to address speculation about his changing hairstyle.
Instagram Video Addresses Hair Rumors
In the video, Andrews threatened to 'name and shame the 60 people from the celeb world' who have been 'slating' him. After claiming he will 'call them out individually' because he has been dubbed 'Britain's bad boy', he pointed to his hair and said: 'I look like something out of Oasis.' He then played with his hair and added: 'I'm going bald. What the f**k? Prison food.'
The post comes after weeks of online rumors about Andrews' hair, with some suggesting he used AI to thicken it or that he underwent a secret hair transplant. Others speculated he was wearing a wig or hairpiece. These rumors intensified after reports that Andrews had visited a Dubai salon to inquire about a permanent wig but decided against it.
Katie Price Defends Cosmetic Procedures
On her podcast, Katie Price addressed the speculation about her husband's hair. 'First of all, of course, he didn’t go to Turkey, he was missing, then was in prison, he’s had an ordeal… I’m sure one day he’ll talk about it,' she said. 'He does want a hair transplant, and he will get a hair transplant, so that is that. There’s not really anything to say about his hair.'
Price then questioned why cosmetic procedures for men attract so much attention compared to those for women. 'Why is it when men, in general, have surgery, hair transplants, or anything like that, no one says anything, but when us women do, “Oh, it’s this, it’s that”? Who cares if you’re bettering yourself with anything?' she said. 'When I go to Turkey, the amount of men that have hair transplants on the plane coming back. So what if people want to look better for themselves? I’m all for it, same as I am for women.'
She compared the treatment to her own hair extensions, stating: 'I have hair extensions. What’s wrong with that? Most girls have hair extensions. No one goes on about having fake hair put in for hair extensions.'
Background on Lee Andrews' Legal Troubles
Andrews was previously incarcerated in Al-Awir prison over unpaid debts, following claims that he was kidnapped and held at gunpoint over 'espionage'. Since his release, he has made light of allegations that his fresh head of hair was a secret transplant.
