Jane Goldman Shows Off Dramatic Weight Loss at 28 Years Later Premiere
Jane Goldman weight loss on display at film premiere

Screenwriter Jane Goldman turned heads on Tuesday night as she stepped out on the black carpet in London, displaying a striking physical transformation. The 55-year-old joined her husband, presenter Jonathan Ross, 65, for the star-studded premiere of '28 Years Later: The Bone Temple', the latest instalment in Danny Boyle's post-apocalyptic series.

A Boho-Chic Date Night

Enjoying a rare date night, the couple of over 35 years looked in high spirits. Jane opted for a stylish, boho-inspired brown dress paired with a statement leopard-print kimono, confidently showing off her newly slimmed-down physique. The event, held in the capital, also saw appearances from leading stars including Jack O'Connell, Cillian Murphy, and Ralph Fiennes.

Goldman's impressive weight loss was first hinted at just days before the premiere. On Sunday, she shared a snap from a family holiday, posing with her husband and their 28-year-old daughter, Honey, at a Japanese market. In the casual photo, she showcased her new figure in a beige top and black trousers.

A Woman of Many Talents

While often recognised as the wife of the iconic talk-show host, Jane Goldman is a formidable creative force in her own right. A prolific screenwriter, author, and producer, her credits include co-writing blockbusters like 'Kingsman: The Secret Service' and 'X-Men: First Class'. She penned her first solo screenplay for the 2012 horror hit, 'The Woman in Black'.

The couple's romance began unconventionally. Jane met Jonathan in 1986 when she was a 16-year-old budding showbiz journalist and he was at the start of his television career. They married just two years later, in 1988, and have since welcomed three children: Betty Kitten, Harvey Kirby, and Honey Kinney.

The Ross's Unconventional Lifestyle

In a bizarre revelation last year, Jonathan Ross offered an unexpected glimpse into the couple's private life, confessing they often shower less than once a week. Speaking on the 'Parenting Hell' podcast, the host said he resented regular grooming and claimed he and Jane were "like a couple of hamsters in their own straw."

He recounted an instance during a Florida holiday where, because he was frequently in the swimming pool, he went two weeks without a proper shower, only to discover he still smelled. Jane has previously spoken fondly of their meeting, though she admits she can't recall their first conversation, much to their daughter Honey's disappointment.

The premiere they attended marked a major moment for British cinema. '28 Years Later: The Bone Temple' continues the story of a UK ravaged by the Rage Virus, following a young character named Spike, played by Alfie Williams, as he is drawn into a sinister cult of acrobatic killers led by Jack O'Connell's Sir Jimmy Crystal.
