Netflix UK has added Jurassic Park to its streaming library, giving subscribers the chance to revisit the 1993 sci-fi classic based on Michael Crichton's novel. The film, which stars Jeff Goldblum, Sam Neill, Laura Dern and Richard Attenborough, was a landmark in visual effects and became one of the highest-grossing films of its era.

Upon release, Jurassic Park earned over $914 million (£677 million) worldwide, holding the record as the highest-grossing film until Titanic surpassed it in 1997. Critics praised its pioneering CGI, which is widely regarded as a pivotal moment that influenced modern filmmaking techniques.

The story is set on the fictional island of Isla Nublar, where industrialist John Hammond (Attenborough) and his team have created a wildlife park populated by genetically engineered dinosaurs. After an act of sabotage disables the park's security systems, a group of visitors must outrun the prehistoric creatures. The cast includes Sam Neill as paleontologist Alan Grant, Laura Dern as Ellie Sattler, and Joseph Mazzello and Ariana Richards as Hammond's grandchildren.
