Harlan Coben's Final Twist marks the writer's first foray into the true crime genre. The series aired in the United States earlier this year and has now been confirmed for release on ITVX, with all five episodes becoming available on June 21.

Fans of Coben, whose novels have been adapted into hit Netflix series such as Fool Me Once and Run Away, are eagerly anticipating the show. Episode Breakdown

The first episode, titled Billy & Billie Jean, investigates the murder of a couple found dead in their home. The inquiry leads detectives to social media, uncovering a bizarre cyberbullying conflict with a neighbouring family and the possible covert involvement of a CIA agent driven by personal vengeance.

Episode two, Gambler's Debt, focuses on Anna Mae, a wildly successful businesswoman discovered stabbed in her untouched home. Detectives face a tangle of suspects and shifting motives, with leads including casinos, hidden debts, and a fugitive linked to her family.

No Sign of Nancy examines the case of a woman who vanishes from her property while hosting a wedding. Meanwhile, Who Killed Joy involves a woman who initially appears to have died in a fire but is later found to have been stabbed.

The final instalment, Shot in the Dark, tells the story of a woman whose husband was shot while she was sleeping next to him.

Critical and Audience Reaction

The series was a hit when it aired in the US in January. A Decider critic noted that it "does a good job of giving viewers lots of surprises." Fans have taken to social media to express their enthusiasm, with one viewer on X (formerly Twitter) saying, "I'm freaking hooked."
