Fritz's Ex Earned More Than Him at Australian Open

Tennis star Taylor Fritz's former partner Morgan Riddle reportedly earned more than him during the Australian Open earlier this year. The influencer pocketed £251,000 from her online work, surpassing Fritz's £240,000 prize money for reaching the last 16 at Melbourne Park, according to reports at the time.

Fritz's Wimbledon Run

Fritz, the No. 6 seed, is the sole American to reach the quarter-finals in the men's singles at Wimbledon 2026. He overcame countrymen Frances Tiafoe and Tommy Paul before defeating Alexander Bublik in the fourth round. He now faces French Open champion Alexander Zverev in the last eight.

Fritz has already banked at least double his Australian Open earnings at Wimbledon. Quarter-finalists receive £480,000, while semi-finalists earn £900,000. The winner gets £3.6 million, with the runner-up taking £1.8 million.

The Split and Riddle's Comments

Fritz and Riddle, who dated for six years, parted ways earlier this year. The split appears cordial, with Riddle announcing it on Instagram wearing a 'World's Best Ex-Girlfriend' t-shirt. In an interview with Elle in June, she said: "When public relationships end, it's standard to do some sort of Instagram statement or video, and I tried to write that a few times and I was just like, 'This is not me.' We're on good terms, so I wanted to make it more light-hearted than break-ups usually are online." She also vowed: "I'll never date an athlete again."

Dual-Income Household

Riddle, who has over 500,000 Instagram followers, regularly documented her life accompanying Fritz on tour. She once revealed: "It's almost a competition between us at Grand Slams and other tournaments to see who earns more money during the tournament. He's always encouraged and supported me. That's how we became a dual-income household."

Fritz's Pre-Match Approach

Following his victory over Bublik, Fritz was asked about watching Zverev's match against Jiri Lehecka. He said: "I'll watch just because it will be on when I'm doing treatment. I typically don't. I like to watch through a different lens, though, once I know who I'm playing, because then I can be more specific about what I'm paying attention to. It's different when I'm watching a match of two players. I can't really... focus that hard on one of them. I'm more just kind of watching for the enjoyment of it."
