Emmerdale fans spot DNA clue suggesting Sadie King has secret daughter

Emmerdale viewers are speculating that Sadie King may have a long-lost daughter already living in the village. The legendary villain, played by Patsy Kensit, returned to the Yorkshire village last month after a 20-year absence, arriving by helicopter shortly after the death of her former husband Jimmy King (Nick Miles).

Initially, Sadie insisted she had no ulterior motives when she appeared at the site of the fatal crash, but she later disclosed a bombshell secret that stunned residents. At The Woolpack, Sadie confessed that she had maintained a three-year relationship with Jimmy, during which he had been living with her.

Nicola's unlikely bond with Sadie

These revelations have shattered Jimmy's widow, Nicola (Nicola Wheeler), though soap fans now understand that Sadie hasn't been entirely truthful. Despite the revelations about Jimmy, Nicola has developed an unlikely bond with Sadie, with the duo even collaborating on arrangements for Jimmy's funeral, reports the Daily Star.

During Monday's (October 5) instalment, currently available on ITVX, Nicola requested that Charles Anderson (Kevin Mathurin) deliver the eulogy at Jimmy's service. Jimmy's son Carl Holliday (Charlie Joyce) subsequently discovered a mysterious key amongst Jimmy's possessions from the scrapyard.

Voicemail revelation unsettles Sadie

Sadie appeared visibly unsettled when Nicola mentioned that she had located archived voicemails on Jimmy's laptop. "I didn't know you could do that," an astonished Sadie remarked while speaking with Nicola and Laurel Thomas (Charlotte Bellamy) at The Woolpack.

Nicola responded: "And neither did Jimmy, until Angel accidentally dropped his phone down a Portaloo at Leeds Fest... Yeah, anyway, you can download the app on other devices, access your messages."

Sadie appeared visibly relieved upon discovering that neither Carl nor Nicola had listened to the messages, and even volunteered to delete them on her behalf. However, Nicola was swift to point out that she would be capable of deleting them herself in due course. She continued: "Just wish I could delete all the ruined memories as easily," while an anxious Sadie looked on.

Fans predict shock DNA twist

Emmerdale fans are now theorising that Jimmy may not have been Sadie's only relative in the village, as they believe she could have a secret daughter. Several viewers have spotted a remarkable resemblance between Sadie and soap favourite Belle Dingle (Eden Taylor-Draper) in a fresh trailer for Jimmy's funeral.

"Screenshot from next week's trailer. Sadie and Belle look like mother and daughter [shocked face]," one viewer posted on X. Another agreed: "Wow they do." A third speculated: "Shock daughter plot?"

In the new trailer, Nicola prepares to lay Jimmy to rest, declaring: "I loved every ounce of you, but you've ruined that. And I will never, ever forgive you for that." However, it appears that Nicola will shortly uncover the truth regarding Sadie's deception, as she's subsequently heard stating: "When I should've been grieving for the man I loved most in this world, she made me hate him!" How Nicola discovers the truth remains to be seen. Emmerdale airs weekday nights at 8pm on ITV1 and ITVX.
