Zizou Bergs Breaks Down in Tears, Walks Out of Wimbledon Press Conference
Bergs Cries, Leaves Presser After Wimbledon Loss to Fery

Zizou Bergs broke down in tears and had to leave his press conference after losing to Arthur Fery at Wimbledon. The Belgian squandered 4-1 leads in the fourth and fifth sets to crash out after a marathon four-and-a-half hour battle.

Emotional Collapse After Defeat

When Bergs was quizzed on what he made of the match, he said: "Crazy or the worst, you can decide." And when he was asked how his emotions held up during the match, he began to sob. The world No. 37 left the room before returning and saying: "You feel you put yourself in many positions to be better, to win the match, and for some reason it doesn't want to fall on my side today and he was just playing better when it mattered so I'm afraid there is little to add to it than to say that he deserved to win."

Fery's Victory and Nosebleeds

Fery remains Britain's sole representative in the singles draws after pulling off the biggest win of his career. The 23-year-old suffered from three nosebleeds during the match which appeared to upset his opponent's rhythm. Bergs reserved one final note to absolve Fery from any blame for his nosebleeds, adding: "No [I'm not frustrated by the nosebleeds], it's OK."
