Ali G's Wimbledon Stunt for New Movie Exposed

Sacha Baron Cohen, 54, secretly infiltrated Wimbledon's Centre Court disguised as his iconic Ali G character, complete with a white jacket reading 'Official Ganja Dealer,' to film scenes for his upcoming movie. The stunt occurred during the men's final, where the Prince and Princess of Wales watched Jannik Sinner defeat Alexander Zverev. According to The Sun, Cohen changed into costume inside the grounds, aided by security guards to avoid detection.

Elaborate Disguise and Security Measures

Cohen wore a face mask, sunglasses, and a camouflage hat before transforming into Ali G. A source told The Sun: 'There were people hired to go inside Wimbledon with his outfit, and he changed once he got inside and put on his Ali G clobber. There were fears he'd get kicked out immediately so he had four bodyguards inside and one outside to protect him.' The team captured footage for the film, thrilled with the outcome.

Ali G's Antics and Social Media Jokes

Ali G handed out fake bags of cannabis and posted a tongue-in-cheek message on social media: 'Them say that tennis is better played on grass, which is why I intend to sell as much of it while I is ere.' He also joked about Prince Harry, saying: 'Prince Harry owes me £1,400. I used to be his dealer at Eton. I was here to get the cash back, innit.'

Return of a Beloved Character

The scenes are for Cohen's upcoming Ali G movie, reviving the character who debuted on Channel 4's The 11 O'Clock Show in 1998. Cohen had attended Wimbledon the day before as himself in a white suit, returning 24 hours later in disguise.
