WWE Legends Mock Trump's Midterm Defeat

WWE legends Batista and Mick Foley took to Instagram to celebrate the Democrats' results in the US midterm elections, which have piled pressure on Donald Trump. Batista, 57, shared a post reading "Never the f*** again" and a song with the lyrics "F*** Donald Trump and the GOP" on his social media pages.

The two-time WWE Champion, real name Dave Bautista, shared several Instagram posts celebrating the Democrats' stunning results. Foley also expressed his delight on the platform, writing: "Very happy with tonight's results. We have so much more in common that unites us than divides us."

Long-Standing Critics of Trump

Both men have been vocal critics of the Trump administration. Batista supported Kamala Harris in the 2024 election campaign and criticised Trump on Jimmy Kimmel Live, branding him a "whiny little b****" and saying: "He looks like he's jacking off a pair of giraffes. He's moody. He pouts. He throws tantrums. He acts like a 5-year-old behind the wheels of a truck."

Foley, who previously cut ties with WWE over its 'close relationship' with Trump, had called on the president's supporters in the company to respect the election results. He posted before the ballot: "Should things not go their way, I truly hope some of my WWE colleagues who have a personal relationship with the president will put country over party and speak up for the sake of democracy."

WWE Figures Close to Trump

WWE supremo Triple H was pictured with conservative activists Turning Point Action during the elections in New Hampshire. He previously branded Trump a 'genius' and was pictured with him during an executive order signing ceremony last year. His mother-in-law Linda McMahon, estranged wife of former WWE chairman Vince McMahon, is the current education secretary in Trump's government.

Ex-wrestler Val Venis blamed the heavy losses on a conspiracy that the government had Conservative mouthpiece Charlie Kirk assassinated by a CIA agent. Former WWE champion Kane, now a Republican politician, appeared to have deleted a tweet of support for Trump after the results.

Trump, reported to have been stunned into silence while watching news coverage of the election results with two close aides, has a long history with professional wrestling and has regularly featured on WWE television.
