Adult content creator Arabella Mia, known as 'Arsenal's biggest female fan', accepted a date invitation from a cheeky football fan while following England's World Cup campaign across the United States. The fan recognised her despite her not wearing her trademark body paint, prompting her to joke: 'You only live once.'
Date Leads to RV Trip
Rather than turning him down, Mia agreed to the date, which evolved into more than one meeting. 'He actually ended up coming to New York with me from Boston in the RV,' she recalled. 'It was interesting... interesting stuff. It was fun.'
Recognition Without Body Paint
Mia, who often wears body paint Arsenal kits at matches, said it was 'weird' when people recognised her without her football shirt. 'Usually, my body armour is my football shirt because then people recognise me. But when I'm in my own clothes, and I'm having a day off work, that's what it feels like,' she told Daily Star Sport.
She added: 'It's weird when people recognise me when I don't have a shirt on because I think I'm just unrecognisable. They'll go: 'Are you that Arsenal girl?' and when I reply yes, they go 'Oh, I almost didn't recognise you with clothes on'. I heard that so many times, I had to fake laugh by the end!'
Memorable Summer
During her summer creating content for England's World Cup campaign, Mia also faced a mistaken accusation of being a prostitute. She found the atmosphere in North America slightly deflating compared to her experience at Euro 2024 in Germany, where she had many Dutch fans recognise her.
Earlier in the summer, she turned heads at Arsenal's Premier League trophy parade after flying from Australia and appearing at the Emirates in her trademark body paint.
