A professional lip-reader has disclosed that Prince William made a cheeky nine-word remark to his father-in-law Michael Middleton during his 2011 wedding to Kate Middleton. As Michael escorted his daughter down the aisle at Westminster Abbey, William reportedly quipped: 'We're supposed to have just a small family affair.'

The Prince and Princess of Wales, now married for 15 years, exchanged vows on April 29, 2011. Catherine, wearing a gown by English designer Sarah Burton, was accompanied by her father, who celebrates his 77th birthday today. According to Tina Lannin, the lip-reader who analyzed footage, William first told his bride: 'You look lovely. You look beautiful.'
