Hollywood legend Matthew McConaughey almost missed out on his iconic role in Dazed and Confused due to a surprising twist of fate. The actor, who became a household name thanks to his portrayal of Wooderson, revealed the unexpected reason he nearly lost the part.
In a recent interview, McConaughey shared that director Richard Linklater initially had doubts about casting him. "I was almost too old for the role," the actor admitted. "Linklater thought I looked older than the character was supposed to be."
