The We Are Wirral Festival is taking over Birkenhead Park this weekend, featuring two days of live music, family entertainment, and festival fun. Live music began at midday on Saturday, July 18, and continues until 10pm on Sunday, July 19. The festival boasts headliners including The Coral and Tinie Tempah, alongside a packed programme of local talent, a circus, arcades, tree climbing, and a traditional funfair. Food and drink options are plentiful throughout the event.
Saturday Line-Up Highlights
Saturday's line-up featured The Coral, Lottery Winners, Hard-fi, Greg Wilson, Lucy Spraggan, Thrill Collins, and Bronnie. The ECHO visited the park to capture joyful moments as festivalgoers enjoyed performances and explored attractions. The crowd was seen dancing and singing along as headliners took to the stage, with colourful flags decorating the park.
Sunday's Headliners and Family Fun
Sunday's line-up includes Tinie Tempah, Sigala, Jaguar Skills, Chesney Hawkes, Dick & Dom, Women in Rock, and Deco. Additional acts will perform at the festival's Acoustic Live Lounge. The festival attracts visitors of all ages, with children like 6-year-old Alice enjoying face paint and families like Gema Hurst and Jack Mollan with their children Skylar and Finlay Gorst soaking in the atmosphere.
According to the Liverpool ECHO, festivalgoers were seen smiling in the sunshine, with many camping chairs set up after dancing. The event returns on Sunday, July 19, promising more performances and entertainment.
