Vogue Williams has revealed she wants more children, just weeks after giving birth to her fourth child with husband Spencer Matthews. The 40-year-old made the admission on the October 27 episode of The Vogue and Amber podcast, where she was asked what her younger self would find most surprising about her life today.
Williams and Matthews, a Made in Chelsea star, welcomed their son Remy Valentine Matthews in early September. Remy joins siblings Theodore, Gigi, and Otto, making the couple a family of six.
Podcast admission
During the podcast, Williams said: "That I've got four kids - and I want another one." Her sister Amber responded with an exasperated "oh my f*****g God."
Williams then clarified her comments, saying: "I love kids. I do. I do. I won't... I'm not going to have another one, don't worry. I'm giving everything away. But that doesn't mean I don't want another one.
"I just can't have another one. You can't have everything that you want, unfortunately, in this life. Because if I could, I'd have three more. How about that? Three more."
Birth announcement and name change
Williams marked the birth with a series of photographs online, captioned: "Remy Valentine Matthews." The snaps showed baby Remy in a blue cardigan and white hat, with others including his brothers and sisters. She received messages from well-wishers including Holly Willoughby and Paloma Faith.
Little Remy was reportedly almost named Elvis, but Williams and Matthews changed their minds after receiving calls from his family about it. Williams admitted she had not "ever been 100 per cent comfortable" with the name.
Response to criticism
The revelation follows Williams hitting back after being accused of "breaking maternity laws" for taking her baby out soon after giving birth. Speaking on the My Therapist Ghosted Me podcast, she said someone had "left a comment" criticising her for it.
"Someone left a comment on mine and Amber's pod, and they were like: 'A mother should not be out with their baby at all from a month old', blah blah blah. Like, going on this rant about there being a maternity law.
"I was like, there's no maternity law! And then I was like: 'Hang on a second, I'm quite clearly in my bedroom with the baby as well'.
"Anyway, I told her I agreed with her and that women should stay at home for at least one to two years with the baby after giving birth. She deleted the comment."
