Victoria Beckham shared a gushing tribute to her family and friends after her Paris Fashion Week show, while appearing to make a dig at her eldest son Brooklyn. The 52-year-old posted a photo with husband David, 51, younger sons Romeo, 24, and Cruz, 21, their girlfriends, and 15-year-old daughter Harper Seven.
Appearing to allude to Brooklyn and Nicola's noticeable absence, she wrote: "To my friends and family, I feel so blessed to have you all by my side xxx." She also shared photos of her models, captioning them: "So grateful to my wonderful teams for everything they bring to each season! I couldn’t do it without you all xx #VBSS27."
Brooklyn and Nicola's Paris appearances
Eyebrows were raised this week after Brooklyn, 27, and Nicola, 31, made a string of high-profile appearances at the major fashion event ahead of Victoria's biggest show of the year. The couple inevitably snubbed Victoria's event but were photographed around the French capital and attended major shows before her latest collection was unveiled on Friday night.
During Victoria's show, Nicola shared a video of herself and Brooklyn enjoying a Parisian date night as the eldest Beckham son fed her spaghetti. The couple documented their trip on social media, including footage of them arriving at their hotel to bouquets of pink flowers, and later posted their visit to Parisian restaurant Loulou before hitting the front row of two exclusive fashion shows.
Reaction from friends and family
A source told the Mirror that the timing of the couple's Paris trip was "beyond strange." They said: "For a couple who have made clear they want distance from the Beckham family machine, Brooklyn and Nicola could hardly have chosen a more conspicuous week to be in Paris. It feels bordering on cruel to be swanning around the city knowing how important this day is for Victoria."
Another friend added: "Brooklyn and Nicola must know that their presence there will get everyone talking. It feels like a calculated move particularly as it’s not really clear what the pair’s fashion credentials are to be attending these shows in the first place."
Support from younger siblings
Ever the supportive son, Cruz shared a video of his mum's runway and commented: "@victoriabeckham killed it as always." Posh's youngest son was joined by long-term girlfriend Jackie Apostel, 30, with the couple going on to attend the EE72 One Year Anniversary Celebration at L'Avenue with Romeo and girlfriend Kim Turnbull, 25, after Victoria's show.
Brooklyn and Nicola attended the Balenciaga show, where they kissed and cuddled while sat next to designer Pierpaolo Piccioli's dog, Miranda. Hot sauce entrepreneur Brooklyn and actress Nicola are said to have a friendship with Piccioli, who in 2022 stepped in to design Nicola's wedding dress after she decided against wearing one of her mother-in-law's creations. At the event, Brooklyn said: "We love Paulo, we love the brand, the space is beautiful and we are very very excited." Nicola added: "He is such a genius…we are his biggest fan. We love him so much."
Brooklyn was also seen hand-in-hand with his wife for Parisian jewellery house MESSIKA’s show, the same night Romeo attended a party at Hotel Plaza Athénée, just a nine-minute walk away. The Paris trip echoes the couple’s earlier trip to Saint Tropez, where the Beckhams were also present. Despite their close proximity, the couple have not been in touch with any of the extended Beckham family. One source said: "It’s just so sad that this feud clearly goes beyond the immediate family. They would all dearly love to hear from Brooklyn."
