Vicky Pattison, the 38-year-old former Geordie Shore star, has revealed the name she plans to give her future son in a heartfelt tribute to her late grandfather. The reality TV personality, who married Ercan Ramadan in August 2024, shared the news in a video for Alzheimer’s Society’s Forget Me Not Appeal.
Emotional Message in a Memory Box
In the video, Vicky visited the charity’s Memory Box, a specially designed phone box where visitors can leave messages for loved ones affected by dementia. She tearfully recorded a message for her grandfather David, who died in 2022 after living with dementia for several years. “So much has changed. So much that I wish you’d been here to see,” she said.
Vicky reflected on key moments her grandfather missed, including meeting her husband, Ercan. She added: “All you ever wanted was for me to find someone lovely and nice, who loves me. He does both of those things. He reminds me so much of you.”
Honouring Her Grandfather
It was then that Vicky revealed her plan to name her future son after her grandfather David. The news comes as the couple actively try for a baby, a journey documented in the recent series Vicky Pattison: Maybe, Baby?. In the series, they explored options including surrogacy and adoption but decided to conceive naturally.
Vicky signed off her message to the “man who meant the world” to her by saying: “I love you and I miss you.”
Fears About Motherhood
Despite her excitement, Vicky admitted on the Happy Mum Happy Baby podcast with Giovanna Fletcher: “I am absolutely terrified, and I’ll cry when I say this, I have a genuine fear that I won’t be good enough to be a mam.”
Her husband Ercan reassured her, praising her care for their dogs: “I’ve seen the way you are with the dogs, I’ve seen the way you are with me, she’s going to be unbelievable. She’s incredible.”
Forget Me Not Appeal
Vicky’s video supports Alzheimer’s Society’s Forget Me Not Appeal, running throughout June to fund support and dementia research. The charity aims to help those living with dementia and their families.
