Vernon Kay is still cheering on Tess Daly, five months after they announced their split. Celebrating his ex on Instagram, the presenter shared a video of Tess and her business partner, Gayle Lawton, promoting their press event at the BoTree Hotel in London.
"@naiabeach making moves! Congratulations on another awesome collection," he raved on Thursday (15 October). Vernon, who has remained on good terms with Tess, has been a vocal supporter of her swimwear brand, though he usually flies under the radar with the occasional like or comment.
Still Family After Split
In recent months, Tess and Vernon, who confirmed the end of their 22-year marriage in May, have proved that they're still family. Just last month, the mum-of-two shared a selection of snaps from their trip to the South of France.
Posing alongside their two daughters, Phoebe and Amber, as they dined in a restaurant, Tess and Vernon appeared relaxed in each other's company. In fact, body language expert Judi James told Express.co.uk that Tess appears to have "no hard feelings" for her former partner.
"Vernon is at the centre of the pose, arms fully splayed in a gesture of easy confidence, and his arms held round behind the group suggest leadership and protection," she explained.
Body Language Signals
"That 'wings' spread seems to send out a signal that they are all one unified group with Vernon at the centre of the women's attention.
"He faces the camera straight on while the women lean in towards him. Tess especially angles herself to join his pose, hinting at a sense of 'no hard feelings' towards him."
James added: "The daughters look happy to 'surround' their dad too, to suggest they're happy to have him retain his role at the heart of the family group. They all look keen to boost him, to 'contain' him there in that role."
Daughters Remain Priority
As Tess and Vernon clarified when they announced their split, their daughters remain their top priority. "After much consideration, and with a deep sense of care and respect for one another, we have made the decision to separate amicably," they said in May.
"This has not been an easy choice, but it comes from a place of mutual understanding and a shared desire for what is best for both of us. We remain great friends and, most importantly, fully committed to our roles as loving and supportive parents, which will always be our priority.
"There are no other parties involved in this decision. We kindly ask for privacy during this time as we navigate this transition together."
