Tyson Fury Defends Brother Tommy After Boxing Return and Son's Birth

Tyson Fury has publicly defended his half-brother Tommy Fury, just weeks after Tommy's return to the boxing ring and the arrival of his second child. The former heavyweight champion shared a video on his Instagram Story, addressing critics and expressing support for his younger sibling.

Tommy Fury's Recent Victory and Family News

Tommy Fury, 27, won a majority decision against former world's strongest man Eddie Hall at Manchester's AO Arena earlier this month. During the fight, he revealed his newborn son's name, Midas, spelled out on his shirt and shorts. Tommy and his partner Molly-Mae Hague, also 27, welcomed their second child weeks before the fight, three years after the birth of their daughter Bambi. Molly-Mae attended the match to support Tommy.

After the fight, Tommy said: "This was for my new baby boy, Midas. It is another Fury, it’s another boy. I’ve fought a lot of people, and this guy can fight. He’s not slow, he’s fit. Thank you for taking the fight and thank you for a great night in Manchester."

Tyson Fury's Instagram Defense

Speaking directly to the camera in the video, Tyson Fury said: "I'll tell you what, just sat here in training camp, absolutely smashing life. Lucky to be alive, blessed by Jesus abundantly. Won everything there is to win in boxing. Done everything. Completed every box I wanted to tick, but enough about me, this video is about my brother, Tommy."

He continued: "Absolutely smashing it and he's got all these boxers, these so-called boxers, world champions, other champions, everybody jealous to death of a young lad, with a young family, trying to do the best he can. Making millions of pounds every time he fights..."

Addressing Jealousy and Critics

Tyson added: "It's obviously difficult for the rest of the world, boxing-wise, because jealousy is the horriblest thing ever. The man who holds a hot coal with the intention of throwing it at someone else always gets burned himself. Haters are gonna hate. Hate the game, not the player. That's all I say. Keep smashing it, T. Get up there, the million-dollar boy!"

The video comes weeks after Tommy's first fight in over a year, marking a significant return to the ring. Tyson, who has won every major heavyweight title, continues to support his brother's career amid criticism from other boxers.
