Tyson Fury Backs Donald Trump for UK Prime Minister in White House Visit
Tyson Fury Calls for Trump to Be UK PM at White House

Tyson Fury has called for Donald Trump to become the UK's Prime Minister during a friendly visit to the White House. The former heavyweight champion boxer made a surprise appearance at the President's UFC cage fight on Sunday, June 14, wearing a cap emblazoned with the slogan 'Donald Trump for Prime Minister'.

Surprise Appearance at UFC Fight

Fury, 37, and his wife Paris flew to the United States after Tyson supported his half-brother Tommy Fury during his return to the boxing ring at Manchester's AO Arena on Saturday night. It marked his first visit to the States since his knockout win over Deontay Wilder in October 2021.

At the purpose-built venue celebrating America's 250th anniversary of independence, Fury was among 4,000 attendees. Trump and UFC boss Dana White arrived together, leaving the Oval Office to the White House balcony overlooking the enormous structure dubbed 'The Claw' on the South Lawn.

Fury's Entrance and Hat

Fury made the second-biggest entrance of the night, emerging after the second fight to Kings of Leon's 'Sex on Fire' in a matching blazer and pants with his 'Gypsy King' logo printed in gold. However, all eyes were on his baseball cap reading 'Donald Trump for Prime Minister,' adorned with an embroidered British flag, a nod to Trump's signature red 'Make America Great Again' caps.

He posted a selfie on Instagram pointing to the message on his hat, captioning it: '@realdonaldtrump for UK PM #makebritaingreatagain @parisfury1.' He also shared a snap with billionaire Mark Zuckerberg, writing: 'Power pic. @realdonaldtrump @danawhite @zuck no words needed!'

Interaction with Trump

Cageside, Fury was seen enjoying pleasantries with Trump, shaking hands. A UFC broadcaster teased an announcement involving Fury and White, as Fury told the crowd he would like to fight fellow Brit Anthony Joshua in the future.

Long-Standing Links

Fury and Trump's links stretch back to Fury's championship wins, with Trump publicly praising the boxer and extending invitations to the White House. In February, Fury spoke about Trump when discussing his return from retirement, saying: 'I came back to make boxing great again. Like Donald Trump wants to make America great again, I want to make boxing great again.'

Paris Fury also attended the event and said on Instagram: 'Only in America! Can’t believe we are at the White House walking round, then watching the fights in Donald Trump's garden! Whirlwind few days! @tysonfury.'
