Giusina Battaglia, a popular television chef, is mourning the sudden death of her husband, Sergio, who passed away over the weekend. No official cause of death has yet been confirmed.
The tragedy struck just 24 hours after Battaglia shared an upbeat Instagram post featuring photos of herself with the couple's 10-year-old twin boys, Marco and Luca. She wrote: "The happiness of a weekend together is incomparable to anything else. Out for dinner this evening. And it's always a magical moment."

The news was announced by TV presenter Antonella Clerici during a live broadcast of the daytime programme È sempre Mezzogiorno on October 19. Battaglia regularly appears as a chef on the show.
Clerici, visibly upset, said: "Once again I have to open this show with news that concerns us all, but it's not nice. We are a family, and we tell you everything that happens to us... This weekend Giusina Battaglia suffered a very serious bereavement. Her husband passed away suddenly," reports the Express.
Family and Career
Sergio, who worked as a cameraman, married Battaglia in 2010, and they shared their twin boys. Battaglia had often mentioned that Sergio disliked social media and preferred to stay out of the public eye.
Before her television career, Battaglia worked as a journalist and press officer. She gained a large social media following during the Covid-19 pandemic, which led to appearances on networks including The Food Network. She began presenting her programme Giusina in Cucina on the channel in May 2020, filmed using two smartphones, with Sergio working as her videographer.

Fans have expressed their condolences on social media. One wrote: "Big hug to you 3. I just watched Antonella's video, I was shocked." Another commented: "Truly terrible and sad news. Sending a hug to Giusina and her children, and my deepest condolences."
A third added: "My condolences, Giusina. I am so sorry for the loss of your husband-it's hard to believe he's gone at such a young age." A fourth said: "Sending a hug to you and your children.
