Scottish strongman Luke Stoltman has broken his silence after his wife Kushi accused him of having an affair while their nine-month-old son was in hospital. The five-time Europe’s Strongest Man, 39, posted a statement on Instagram acknowledging his errors.
In the post, Stoltman said: "I regret the mistakes that I have made and the impact they've had, especially on my family, Kushi and my son, who is my world. While not everything shared is true, I want to be clear that I was with my son in hospital." He added that he is committed to rebuilding trust and focusing on his son's care.
Kushi, 31, had earlier written on Instagram that Stoltman refused to visit their sick child and was with another woman. She described feeling "absolutely heartbroken and devastated that someone could be so cruel." The couple had reportedly split after Kushi alleged a secret relationship with a female powerlifter.
Kushi later confirmed the allegations were true and said she was overwhelmed by support. She deactivated her account, stating: "I need to focus on my mental health for the sake of my son as this has been extremely traumatic."
Stoltman, known as the Highland Oak, hails from Invergordon, Ross-shire. He is the older brother of current World’s Strongest Man Tom Stoltman, whose wife Sinead was among those offering support to Kushi.
