Stephen Libby Hopes for Susan Boyle Duet at Pride Awards

Stephen Libby, the winner of the BBC series The Traitors, has revealed his hopes for a surprise duet with Susan Boyle at the Pride of Scotland awards. The reality star walked the red carpet at Glasgow's Hilton hotel on Monday night, where he admitted he was thrilled about the possibility of meeting the singing sensation.

Excitement for a Duet

Speaking to reporters, Libby said: "I heard Susan Boyle may be in attendance. I cannot wait to see her in person. It's a dream that I dreamed." He jokingly added that he was not "qualified" to sing like her but didn't rule out a joint performance. "We could have a wee sing song tonight, who knows how the night's going? Maybe Wild Horses? Why not?"

Emotional Night Ahead

The Traitors winner admitted he needed tissues for the event, as he prepared for an emotional evening celebrating inspiring individuals. "I just love getting into my feelings a little bit, and I think tonight's a good way to do that and really celebrate the best of society. I'll be crying, I'm sure, just seeing wonderful people doing wonderful things," he said. Libby confessed he hadn't brought any handkerchiefs, remarking, "Maybe I should have thought about that, shouldn't I?"

Homesickness and Busy Life

Despite enjoying life in London, Libby expressed deep homesickness for Scotland and the Isle of Lewis. "I think I'm gonna be coming back home to the Isle of Lewis a few more times as well, because I haven't really been able to get home much," he said. He added, "I get homesick in London. I miss the people of Scotland so much, honestly. My partner is English, so I do obviously love the English as well, but I do just miss the Scottish people. They are the best craic, aren't they?"

Part of the reason for his limited visits is his hectic schedule since winning The Traitors. "It's been crazy, absolutely crazy. I thought I was gonna kind of leave the show and then have a bit of a relax, just a bit of a chill. That's not quite happened. It's been go, go, go, go, go," he explained. Libby has been working extensively with ITV's This Morning, praising the team: "They're such a lovely, lovely group of people to work with, and they've really welcomed me with open arms, so that's been great."
