Bents Park Summer Concerts Kick Off with Pride of South Tyneside
The annual Bents Park Sunday concerts in South Shields begin this weekend, running for three consecutive Sundays. The first concert on July 19 features a Pride of South Tyneside theme, headlined by local X Factor winner Joe McElderry, alongside 1990s boyband 911 and former UK Eurovision entrant Sonia. Other performers include North East vocalists Channy and Shelly Stevens.
Ticket Pricing and Entry Details
For the first time, all concerts have paid entry. Adults (over 16) pay £5, while those aged 11-16 and over 66 pay £2.50. Children aged 10 and under enter free. Tickets can be purchased in person at The Word in South Shields until 2pm on Sunday. The concerts follow last year's lineup featuring Shayne Ward, Liberty X, Nadine Coyle, and Nik Kershaw.
