Stacey Solomon was left feeling emotional on social media after her daughter Rose's 'heartbreaking' achievement of completing nursery. The TV presenter, known for sharing family updates, took to Instagram Stories on Friday (July 18) to reveal that her four-year-old daughter had finished nursery school and will start primary school in September.
Sharing a scrapbook with notes and photos from Rose's time at nursery, Stacey wrote: 'The end of an era [crying emojis]. Looking through Rose's last 3 years at nursery is actually heartbreaking.'
Emotional Reflection on New Beginnings
Later in the evening, Stacey shared a sunset image and explained why Rose's achievement felt so emotional. 'What a day. Watched Rose's graduation to Primary. Saw my niece finish primary ready for secondary. Said goodbye to some very special teachers,' she wrote.
She added: 'Just a little message to say… cuddles to all the parents & carers entering into new beginnings. And just a huge thank you and I can't even begin to describe the appreciation & admiration I have for learning staff.'
Stacey continued: 'You're raising my babies with me. Honestly I love our teachers & caregivers so so much. The effort, love, kindness and care every single day. Helping us shape our humans ready for the world. Hope you get a rest over the summer. To the moon and back.'
Rose Follows in Stacey's Footsteps
The update about Rose came after Stacey recently revealed that her daughter might be following in her footsteps. Stacey made her name competing on The X Factor in 2009. Ahead of Father's Day with husband Joe Swash, the couple experienced Rose's first singing competition.
Stacey shared a picture of Rose in a red dress with white collar and belt detailing, writing: 'Rose had her first ever singing competition this morning. She begged me to get her into a competition so she could win a medal [crying laughing emoji]. I wasn't sure, but watching her today omg [crying face emoji]. It was emotional [crying emoji].'
She later posted: 'Rose Gold. We are so proud of you Rose. Today, Rose had her first-ever singing competition & sang her little heart out. I was so nervous for her. When she first asked to be entered with her friends I wasn't sure I thought it would be too scary. But she got up there & sang her little heart out and came home with a gold medal [crying face emoji]. Can't wait to watch you fall in love with singing more & more Rosey Posey, it's so good for the soul. To the moon and back darling girl.'
Family Background
Stacey, 36, has three children from previous relationships: Zachary, 18, and Leighton, 14. She shares Rex, seven, Rose, four, and Belle, three, with husband Joe Swash, 44, a former EastEnders actor. Stacey is also stepmum to Joe's son Harry, 19. The couple met in 2010 on the set of I'm a Celebrity spin-off show while Joe was presenting and Stacey was a guest after winning the competition. They married in 2022.
Despite speculation after fans spotted Stacey without her wedding ring, the couple appear to be strong. Stacey previously told followers she was stepping back from sharing on her platform for a while before returning at the end of April.
