Stacey Dooley wows with home transformation photos

Stacey Dooley has delighted her followers by sharing a series of photos from inside her Liverpool home, which she is renovating with partner Kevin Clifton. The couple, who met on Strictly Come Dancing in 2018, have been documenting their journey of turning their house into a home.

From Strictly to a Shared Home

Stacey and Kevin won the BBC One dance competition together and also found love on the dancefloor. They have since welcomed their daughter, Minnie. In 2023, the couple relocated from London to Liverpool "very quickly," a move that Stacey has embraced wholeheartedly.

The documentary maker and the professional dancer-turned-stage star have been sharing updates on their renovation project over the years. Last year, they even starred opposite each other on stage in 2:22 A Ghost Story.

Social Media Reactions

This week, Stacey took to Instagram with a string of snaps, giving her 1.2 million followers a glimpse of the progress. Alongside the photos, she wrote: "HOME. It’s giving tradwife but leave me alone."

The post was quickly flooded with comments. This Morning star Rochelle Humes commented "Wow," while BBC Breakfast's Nina Warhurst joked: "Stace it’s giving heating bill," to which Stacey hilariously replied: "PUT A JUMPER ON IF UR COLD." The One Show's Alex Jones also said: "Beautiful."

Fans also shared their admiration, with one writing: "My absolute dream home. Your interior design and fashion sense are just 11/10. I am obsessed." Another added: "Obsessed with everything, but especially the colour drenching and gorgeous cornices. So much personality. More home pics any day of the week."

Kevin's Tribute to Stacey

Kevin also posted the photos on his own Instagram page, crediting his partner for the design. He wrote: "Not gona take any credit for these pics. @sjdooley is very much in charge of the interior but just appreciating her taste and how lovely the house is looking. Without her it would be Star Wars and WWE posters. Nice to be home for a bit."

Stacey has previously spoken about her connection to Liverpool, despite being born in Luton and living in London for most of her life. With family hailing from Speke, the 39-year-old has described the north and south of England as like "night and day."
