Sharon Osbourne's Own Health Battles Amid Grief Over Ozzy's Death

Sharon Osbourne is grappling with her own health struggles while mourning the loss of her husband, Ozzy Osbourne, who died in July at age 76. The Black Sabbath frontman had been battling Parkinson's disease and severe spinal injuries. Sharon, who spent years renovating their Buckinghamshire mansion for his retirement, is now alone in their English home, grieving away from her children.

Despite putting on a brave face for Ozzy, Sharon has faced significant health issues. She was diagnosed with cancer in 2002, the same year their MTV show 'The Osbournes' premiered. She underwent chemotherapy and was filmed visiting a wig maker after losing her hair. In a recent interview, she explained she continued working to shield her family from the severity of her illness, saying, 'When you say cancer, everybody always thinks death.'

Ozzy once expressed his fears, telling Classic Rock: 'I thought she was going to die. I never knew anybody that had survived cancer. But my wife is a very strong woman.' Sharon has also been open about her lifelong struggle with food addiction and eating disorders. In 2023, she admitted to feeling 'too gaunt' after losing weight with weight-loss drugs, which Ozzy disliked. 'He's scared that something is going to happen to me,' she said on Good Morning Britain.

Now, Sharon's children are worried about her. Her son Jack said on Good Morning America: 'She's OK, but she's not OK.' He added that she feels the love from fans but acknowledged the profound loss. A source told the Mirror: 'Sharon's world has been torn apart. They had a clear plan, but she didn't get to do any of it with Ozzy. It's so sad.'
