Former A Place In The Sun presenter Scarlette Douglas has announced she is expecting her first child with her fiancé Kyle Murray.
The 39-year-old shared the news in an Instagram post that began with a mock sensitive content warning, followed by the message “are you sure you want to keep going?” on the next picture, with the final image showing the couple.
Instagram Announcement
In the last picture, Murray could be seen kissing Douglas on the cheek while holding her baby bump. The caption read: “The exciting news is finally here. We’re over the moon to announce, we’re having a baby.”
The announcement comes after Douglas revealed in 2024 that she had frozen her eggs, during an interview on Lorraine.
Previous Comments on Family Plans
On the programme, she said: “I never thought I’d be 37 and no man, no husband, no baby.”
“So I figured that as a career-driven woman it’s been fantastic, but I do want to have a family, so I have to take my future into my own hands, and just prepare myself for having kids at a later date.”
“I would still of course love to have a child naturally but that might not be the case so this is something I had to do as a back up.”

Douglas presented Channel 4 holiday programme A Place In The Sun from 2015 to 2022, and has also appeared on Points Of View, The One Show and The Jeremy Vine Show.
