Hollyoaks actress Sarah Jayne Dunn has unveiled a remarkable body transformation after taking up weightlifting, dropping a dress size in just 10 weeks. The 38-year-old, who plays Mandy Richardson in the Channel 4 soap, overhauled her physique to slow the ageing process as she approaches 40.
Dunn, a mother to three-year-old son Stanley, reduced her body fat from 26 per cent to around 16 per cent. She trained three hours a week with weights, completed 12,000 steps daily, and added extra cardio sessions. Her diet included carbs and occasional treats like wine or dark chocolate.
Despite breaking her elbow and spraining her wrist in the third week, Dunn adapted her training and continued making progress. She now hopes to maintain her figure and continue training into her 50s, inspired by Jennifer Lopez.
“I used to fear getting older and turning 40,” Dunn said. “After I had a baby, people said ‘that’s it now’ – I didn’t want to have a baby and never get my body back.” She added that the gym has boosted her confidence and energy levels, allowing her to keep up with her son.
