Samie Elishi Shows Baby Bump at Pride of Britain Awards

Love Island star Samie Elishi showcased her baby bump on the red carpet at the Daily Mirror Pride of Britain Awards on Monday evening, just hours after she and boyfriend Tyrique Hyde announced they are expecting their first child.

The 26-year-old reality star wore a satin halter-neck dress that hugged her bump, paired with open-toed heels and silver jewellery. Her pink-toned make-up stood out as she posed with her hand on her stomach. Tyrique, 27, wore a grey suit and wrapped his arms around her waist.

Pregnancy Announcement

Earlier in the day, the couple shared the news on Instagram with a video of them seeing their baby's ultrasound for the first time. Tyrique held the scan images in his hands, looking stunned, while Samie giggled in excitement. Samie captioned her post with a white heart, while Tyrique wrote: "Don't make a scene. Can't wait for this next chapter. Love you @samieelishi."

The couple appeared on different seasons of Love Island in 2023, with Samie on the winter series and Tyrique on the summer edition. Tyrique later returned for Love Island Games in 2025, and Samie won this year's All Stars series with Ciaran Davies before they split three weeks later. Tyrique then reached out to Samie, and they were spotted on a date in March.

Pride of Britain Highlights

At the awards, Daily Mirror Editor in Chief Chloe Hubbard praised the winners, saying: "We are honoured that they are here with us sharing their remarkable stories." She thanked P&O Cruises and ITV for their partnership and complimented hosts Carol Vorderman and Ashley Banjo.

Hubbard noted the "huge undertaking" behind the event and said: "Our journalists really get to know the people you will meet tonight." She commended the "courage, compassion, sacrifice and strength" of the winners, adding that many are "ordinary people" who "do not seek the limelight." She described how some winners modestly argued, "Surely there must be someone better than me."

Hubbard concluded: "I hope in turn they inspire all of us to do a bit better." Prime Minister Andy Burnham called Pride of Britain a "celebration of our country," saying: "Every year, this special moment in the national calendar reminds us that the people of this country haven't changed. They are still as great as they always were."
