Love Island stars Samie Elishi and Tyrique Hyde announced they are expecting their first child on 19 October, just hours before appearing together on the red carpet at the Pride of Britain Awards in London.
The couple, who have been together for around seven months, posed side by side at the JW Marriott Grosvenor House, with Tyrique placing his hand on Samie's baby bump, which has just become visible.
Red Carpet Appearance
Samie, 26, wore a Champagne-coloured halterneck gown with her hair in an up-do, while Tyrique, 27, opted for a grey suit. The pair shared their baby news earlier that day with a video of them attending an ultrasound scan and watching a sonogram.
In the video, Samie laughed as Tyrique grinned while holding the scan images. Samie captioned the post with a white love heart emoji, and celebrity friends flooded the comments with congratulations.
Celebrity Reactions
Tyrique reshared Samie's video and wrote: "DON'T MAKE A SCENE. CAN'T WAIT FOR THIS NEXT CHAPTER... LOVE YOU @samieelishi."
Olivia Attwood commented: "Congratulations cherubs!" while Jess Harding posted: "Ahhhhh mum and dad can't even cope," and Sammy Root added: "CONGRATULATIONS BOTH OF YOU!"
Kelsey Parker wrote: "Love you so much. so excited for you. You are going to make the best Mummy ever. I literally had the vision and it was true. You're witchy friend always xxx."
Relationship Timeline
Samie and Tyrique have been together since around March 2026 and recently set up home together. The duo appeared on separate seasons of Love Island in the same year: Samie competed in the winter 2023 edition, which saw Kai Fagan and Sanam Harrinanan crowned winners, while Tyrique took part in the summer series, during which he was paired with Ella Thomas.
Samie later won the All Stars edition of the ITV dating show in February 2026 with Ciaran Davies. That relationship ended just three weeks after they left the villa, and she started dating Tyrique soon after.
