Ronan Keating has revealed how therapy has helped him grieve the death of his brother Ciarán, who died in a car crash in County Mayo in July. The 46-year-old singer served as a pallbearer at his sibling’s funeral and performed an emotional song at the service.
Appearing on a special episode of Loose Men, Keating shared that his weekly therapy sessions have been crucial in helping him deal with his loss and the rapid rise to fame he experienced as a teenager in Boyzone. He said his therapist provides him with tools to understand himself and navigate trauma, as well as the highs and lows of adoration.
Keating admitted it has been a tough few months, but said his bond with siblings Linda, Gerard, and Gary has grown stronger as they come to terms with Ciarán’s unexpected death together. He emphasised the importance of communication and leaning on each other during difficult times.
The Dublin native also expressed gratitude for the support from fans and strangers who have shared their own experiences of loss, though he acknowledged that grief can feel isolating. He noted that while people try to connect through shared pain, it can be hard to feel understood when you are in the midst of your own suffering.
